What our campers say

A superbly run campsite for those who want a peaceful tranquil experience. Large pitches some with electricity. Hot powerful showers and hair drying/straightening facilities. Washing/ dryer for those who require it as well as onsite toaster, microwave and freezers. Phil, Zoe and their team go out of their way to make your stay as comfortable as possible. Easy bus service to and from St Ives, less than a ten min walk away. Would thoroughly recommend this site.

We stayed here August bank holiday for one week and had a great time. The site is lovely and peaceful, the facilities are nice and clean. The location is perfect, it is a short walk to the nearest shop and the bus stop where you can get on a number of buses, we used the coaster to get to St Michaels Mount. Carbis bay beach is about 20 minutes walk. You can get on the train from Carbis Bay or take the coastal path to St Ives. The walk is well worth while to take in the views. Takes around 40 minutes and is hilly. St Ives was very nice but busy. Mount Douglas farm campsite is perfect for a costal tour.

We loved this campsite and it was perfect for our family holiday. Amazing location, great facilities and such friendly people. As a campsite they are pretty chilled about noise which suited us fine, giving the campsite a relaxed holiday feel. We would 100% come back.

Amazing, so peaceful, staff are lovely, amenities are everything you need (loos, showers, fridges, laundry) no frills. And so cheap! And a 10 minute walk to a great chippy too. I'm chuffed with this find!

I stayed at Mount Douglas Farm Campsite alone as a solo hiker walking the coastal path - I was welcomed with outstanding hospitality and friendliness, I could not have had a better experience. The showers were hot, the bathrooms spotless and electricity available to charge my devices. I felt safe and comfortable throughout my stay - I definitely hope to return!

Not long back from our 10 night stay! We come as a family and it’s perfect for us, not at all rowdy like some sites can be. The kids are able to play, adults are able to chill… it’s just such a nice atmosphere across the site and it usually quietens down for around 10pm, which is perfect.
